Sad News...

Today we had our first ultrasound and are very sad to say they baby did not have a heartbeat. The baby measured 8 weeks, 5 days and I should be 9 weeks, 4 days. I've been very anxious the past week and had a gut feeling something was not quite right. Ben and I are very sad, but know it's nothing we could have prevented or that we did wrong. This go-round just was not meant to be.

Tomorrow I'll be having a D&C and plan to take off the rest of the week to recover. We're heading to the beach with some very good friends for a long weekend of much needed rest and relaxation. Hopefully we'll be back on the blog with happy news of another Baby Stafford!
