We went for our first ultrasound on Oct. 29 and I was 6 weeks, 5 days. My doctors office typically does not perform ultrasounds this early, but given my previous miscarriage they gladly scheduled me close to 7 weeks for additional reassurance. So, partly I was relieved to be getting a glimpse at the baby so soon, but my nerves were all over the place as we were placed in the same room where we learned last time our baby did not have a heartbeat. I guess this ultrasound was a little too soon. All we saw was a teeny tiny blob, although I swear I saw a little flicker and flash on the huge LCD TV above me, but Dr. Anya said she could not see much and it may be too early. So the two week wait began again… until Nov. 11 when our second ultrasound was scheduled.
