We made it half way now to 20 weeks!! In some way I feel like time has flown by, but then again I feel like I’ve been waiting for this milestone impatiently.
Today we’re enjoying the perfect snow day at home…and hopefully will get some productive things done like sort through the office which will be Tipp’s nursery. But lots of cooking is also on the agenda. After a surprise bonus and raise this week, Ben offered to make me a cake since I’ve been treating myself to a slice from the grocers bakery every shopping trip. I had a different idea for home-made Cinnamon Rolls! Sweets are still one of my major cravings.
Tippett weighs about 10 1/2 ounces now. He's also around 6 1/2 inches long from head to bottom and about 10 inches from head to heel — the length of a banana. He's swallowing more these days, which is good practice for his digestive system. He's also producing meconium, a black, sticky by-product of digestion. This gooey substance will accumulate in his bowels, and we'll see it in his first soiled diaper (some babies pass meconium in the womb or during delivery).
